Tom Blair is a partner in Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP’s Washington, DC office. He joined the firm in 1991.
Mr. Blair has extensive civil litigation experience in state and federal courts throughout the country. His practice primarily involves advising insurers on a wide variety of coverage and extracontractual matters. He has served frequently as defense counsel in bad faith litigation against insurers.
Mr. Blair received his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Virginia, where he was Executive Editor of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Following his graduation, Mr. Blair served as law clerk to the Honorable H. Emory Widener, Jr. on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He received his B.A. with high distinction from the University of Virginia in 1987.
Mr. Blair was a co-author of an article entitled “Developments in West Virginia’s Bad Faith Law: Where Do We Go From Here?,” which was published in the West Virginia Law Review, Vol. 98. No. 1.
