Richard J. Pratt is a partner in Ross, Dixon & Bell’s Washington, DC office. He joined the firm in 1991.

Mr. Pratt received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University in 1988, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. Mr. Pratt was a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review from 1989-1991 as both an associate editor and special projects editor and authored “Unilateral Modification of Employment Handbooks: Further Encroachments on the Employment-at-Will-Doctrine,” 139 University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Number 197 (1990). 

Since joining the firm, Mr. Pratt has had significant litigation experience in cases nationwide involving a myriad of issues, with an emphasis in mass tort, environmental insurance coverage, construction defect, and other complex litigations. Mr. Pratt counsels clients on a wide variety of issues including insurance coverage and policy drafting issues.
