Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP Announces Two New Partners, Two New Of Counsel

Washington, DC – January 18, 2008 Ross, Dixon & Bell is pleased to announce the election of two of its attorneys to the partnership and two as of counsel, effective January 1, 2008. “We are delighted that we have four such talented attorneys and wish to congratulate them on their well-earned promotions,” said Ross, Dixon & Bell managing partner David Gische.

David F. Cutter joined the firm’s Chicago office in 2005 and focuses his practice on insurance coverage matters and commercial litigation. His insurance experience includes bodily injury and property damage coverage issues involving asbestos, environmental, mass tort and product claims, advertising and personal injury coverage, breach of policy conditions, contractual indemnification and associated coverage issues, additional insured and priority of coverages, fiduciary liability coverage, and reinsurance. With respect to commercial litigation, Mr. Cutter has handled a wide variety of matters involving media, communications, employment, breach of contract, and business tort disputes. Mr. Cutter received his law degree in 1995 from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. During law school, he received several awards and scholarships for outstanding academic performance and graduated as his class salutatorian, magna cum laude. Mr. Cutter also served as a staff member and then as the Executive Editor for the Catholic University Law Review, in which he published an article regarding the United States Supreme Court’s constitutional treatment of punitive damages. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. Mr. Cutter is admitted to the Bar of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Illinois.
Benjamin C. Eggert practices in Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP’s Washington office. Since joining the firm in 2000, his practice has focused on handling complex insurance coverage litigation matters and advising clients on a broad range of insurance coverage issues, including directors and officers liability, professional liability, general liability and “bad faith” matters. He has litigated in federal and state trial, appellate and supreme courts in jurisdictions across the country. Additionally, Mr. Eggert has been active in the firm’s pro bono practice, litigating matters and advising public interest organizations in the areas of race and disability discrimination. He received his law degree in 2000 from the University of Virginia, where he was a Dillard Fellow and served as an editor on the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. Mr. Eggert also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, graduating with distinction in 1996.
Prashant K. Khetan has worked in the firm’s Washington, DC office since 2003. His practice focuses on commercial and insurance coverage litigation, including appellate work in both areas. With regard to commercial litigation, his experience includes representing corporations in complex commercial disputes and employment matters in state and federal courts. He also has represented individual plaintiffs in a variety of commercial matters, including IDEA-related cases. Mr. Khetan’s insurance coverage litigation experience includes mass tort, general liability, title insurance, and professional liability matters. He also is active in the firm’s pro bono practice, having worked on matters ranging from adoption to amici briefs. Most recently, he co-authored “Post-Winkelman v. Parma: Ensuring Good Education for Special Needs Children,” an article appearing in the November-December 2007 issue of Autism Asperger’s Digest Magazine, following his involvement in a pro bono case before the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he currently teaches as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the George Washington University School of Law. Mr. Khetan received his undergraduate degree in 1997 from Case Western Reserve University, graduating summa cum laude. He received his J.D. from the George Washington University in 2000, where he served as a managing editor on The Environmental Lawyer, Dean’s Fellow, and student attorney with the DC Law Students in Court program. After graduating from law school, Mr. Khetan completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable John M. Steadman at the DC Court of Appeals. Mr. Khetan is admitted to the Bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Ryan C. Tuley practices in the firm’s Orange County office. He joined RDB in 2006 after practicing for several years with a prominent Orange County insurance and commercial litigation firm. Mr. Tuley’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex insurance coverage litigation, “bad faith” litigation, and business litigation matters. He also devotes a significant amount of his time to advising clients regarding insurance coverage issues under directors and officers, errors and omissions, and general liability policies. Mr. Tuley has handled a large variety of matters in state and federal courts from the pre-litigation stage through discovery, trial, and appeal. In 1998, Mr. Tuley received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he graduated cum laude, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and was a member of the school’s law review. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1995. Mr. Tuley is admitted to the California Bar.
