Chambers USA Selects RDB as Leading Insurance Law Firm

Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been ranked as a leading firm in Insurance nationally, in the District of Columbia, and in Illinois, by the sixth edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers. Nine RDB attorneys also were honored as leading lawyers in their fields by their peers and clients.
RDB received high praise by clients for its nationally-ranked insurance practice. Clients told Chambers USA that “you can send them anywhere in the country and know they’ll do a fine job.” Clients also recognized the depth of the firm’s talents, stating that “the quality does not drop off after the senior partners – even the youngsters are masterminds.” Even RDB’s opponents are “impressed by their performance in the courtroom,” according to Chambers USA. Founding partner Gary Dixon also received recognition by the publication, which labeled him a “D&O expert.” Clients said of Mr. Dixon that he is “smart yet practical; he offers an unbelievable amount of experience and expertise.” According to leading clients, he is “the best in the country” in his area of the law. Referring to the firm’s insurance practice in Washington, DC, one client stated, “I’ve never been disappointed with the firm’s work product; no matter who’s working on the file, they are uniformly good,” when interviewed by Chambers USA. Other clients praised the breadth of the firm’s talent: “They have a stable of knowledgeable lawyers specializing in whatever sort of insurance advice you need, and if it gets to court, they can handle it all the way. They command respect and exude gravitas.” Several of the firm’s DC attorneys were commended as well. Gary Dixon again was regarded as “absolutely the best D&O insurance lawyer in the country.” Clients said that “nothing ever falls through the cracks with him, and he’s willing to bend over backwards to get the right results.” Wally Christensen was recognized as an “excellent communicator and strong litigator.” Having received national press attention for his win in the Congoleum case last year, Jack Gerstein was deemed a favorite of clients and as someone who is “extremely talented at questioning witnesses and developing theories. In Illinois, clients distinguished the firm as “an established name in insurance coverage litigation” and reported having had “superb experiences” with the Chicago team of attorneys.
