A Week in the Life of Erik Ideta
Erik Ideta was a summer associate in the firm’s San Diego office in 2007 before entering his third year at California Western School of Law. Erik shared his experiences from Litigation Week, a week when summer associates meet in the DC office for mock trials, workshops, and presentations to help them get to know RDB and its attorneys.
Saturday
Morning
5:15 a.m. It’s early, way too early for a Saturday. On any other day, I might be a little cranky for having to get up at this hour for work – but this morning is different. Monday is the beginning of Litigation Week in Washington, DC, and I have a plane to catch.
Afternoon
4:30 p.m. Summer associate Dan Carrillo-Gunning and I arrive in DC. We catch a cab into “the District,” as the locals call it, and check into the St. Gregory Hotel in downtown DC, just blocks away from the RDB office.
7:00 p.m. Dan and I meet up with two OC summer associates for dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant. Afterwards, we head into Georgetown to see what there is to see.
