A Week in the Life of Clarence Lee

Friday

Morning
7:30 a.m.
The end of the week is here, and I want to finish some projects that I’ve had outstanding. First though, I make sure the Redskins are going crazy with their depth chart. I am also supposed to have lunch today with one of Chuck’s clients, so I need to get some stuff done in the morning.

7:45 a.m. I summarize my Kansas law research for Leslie and I discuss it with her.

8:30 a.m. I am carving out a good chunk of time this morning to devote to Merril’s antitrust case, and I close the door and start getting into the contracts that are at issue.

11:30 a.m. I get an email from Chuck’s client that he has to cancel today, as he is on a family vacation. I shoot him a quick email back saying hopefully we can meet next time.

11:45 a.m. I get a call from my friend, who’s in the District checking out new exhibits, and he wants to have lunch. It works out well, and he comes by the office to meet me.

Afternoon
1:15 p.m.
After lunch, I look over Richard’s reservation of rights letter again and send it on to the client, who responds quickly with a thumbs up.

2:00 p.m. I have a conference with Chuck regarding the research, and we discuss changes and strategy in our letter. It is a good conference and we reach some good conclusions.

3:30 p.m. I decide to focus the rest of the day on the antitrust review.

5:45 p.m. My friend meets me back at the office, and we’re off to happy hour with my wife’s co-workers up in DuPont Circle.
