Every autumn, we hold a week-long orientation program for new associates, during which RDB partners and senior associates address issues that are fundamental to the firm’s practice. The week is composed of a number of topic-specific sessions, as well as lunches and other social activities. Sessions typically consist of a formal presentation, a discussion of written materials, and a question-and-answer period. Subjects covered include everything from research, writing, and the handling of litigation matters to introductions to various areas of the law that are fundamental to our practice. This comprehensive orientation program provides our new attorneys with a strong foundation on which to develop their day-to-day practice skills, and gives them an early opportunity to get to know their colleagues.
