• Property Transactions. We have been helping clients buy, sell, lease, develop, finance, and restructure real estate for decades. We cover the industry from all sides, including development projects, equity participation, as well as the most complex REIT and 1031 transactions. In addition, our Golf, Resort, Hotels & Marinas team provide an impressive list of clientele with services ranging from development and financing to membership programs and operations.
• Insurance Transactions.
• Bankruptcy. RDB has successfully worked with creditors in connection with the evaluation of debtors’ Chapter 11 plans of reorganization and the treatment of secured, contingent and unsecured claims under the proposed plans; adversary proceedings by the debtor against the creditor; obtaining relief from the automatic bankruptcy stay permitting the creditor to proceed with foreclosure on real property; claims against the debtor or related entities and the termination of a lease; and the creditor’s purchase of the debtor’s assets over debtor and shareholders’ objections. The firm also has experience as special litigation counsel for the debtor in several large and highly contested Chapter 11 proceedings and in contested hearings on the confirmation of the debtor's plan of reorganization.
• Patents and Intellectual Property. RDB attorneys were involved in the defense of one of the first litigated cases involving the issue of copyright infringement on the Internet. Our experience in patent and intellectual property law also extends to chemical technology, medical devices, and much more.
