RDB partner Terrence R. McInnis will speak on “Choosing the Best Forum For Your Case” at American Conference Institute’s 17th National Advanced Forum on Bad Faith Litigation in San Francisco. This conference, which will take place on May 15 and 16, 2008, will address the ever-changing state laws that can affect bad faith litigation. Speakers will offer insights and practical strategies that capitalize on recent decisions and rulings. In his session, Mr. McInnis will discuss choice of law and the impact it can have on a case, approaches in building an argument to use another state’s law, when and how to avoid waivers, the implications on discovery of removal to federal court, as well as tactics to prevent removal and effective defenses, and strategies behind changing venues within a state.
